Senior Care Assistant

Reporting To:

  • Line Manager and Management Team

 

Job Hours:

  • Flexible, depending on the needs of the business

 

Profile:

 

Senior Care Assistant is part of the care team and will give all necessary support in order provide the highest quality client care.

 

Qualification:

 

  • Minimum SVQ3

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing, where appropriate, personal assistance to the client group such as bathing, washing, toileting, dressing and feeding. Meeting these tasks may involve manual and/or aids-assisted lifting of the client group in accordance with current guidelines and good practice.

 

  • Reporting to a senior staff member untoward incidents, e.g., falls, accidents,  complaints.
  • Being available to listen and talk to the client group.
  • Participating in group and leisure activities organised for the client group.
  • Accompanying the client group where appropriate, to locations outside of the venue / facilities.
  • Respecting the confidentiality of matters relating to the client group/staff
  • Ensuring the established procedures and policies of Management are adhered to in respect of Health and Safety Regulations, Fire Prevention and other such issues as may be determined from time to time within the parameters of existing policies and procedures.
  • To be adequately trained and be responsible for the safe administration of drugs / administrations to clients when required
  • To be competent when taking charge of the shift in absence of manager / depute manager.

 

Specification:

 

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to different circumstances and new methods.
  • Ability to understand instructions clearly and to follow the work schedules laid down within the time limits specified.

 

Support Worker

Reporting To:

  • Line Manager and Management Team

 

Job Hours:

  • Flexible, depending on the needs of the business

 

Profile:

 

A Support Worker is part of the Social Work team providing support to Service Users to encourage independence.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Encourage Service Users to become more independent in carrying out daily tasks.
  • Providing, where appropriate, personal assistance to the client group such as bathing, washing, toileting, dressing and feeding. Meeting these tasks may involve manual and/or aids-assisted lifting of the client group in accordance with current guidelines and good practice.
  •  Reporting to a senior staff member untoward incidents, e.g., falls, accidents,  complaints.
  • Being available to listen and talk to the client group.
  • Participating in group and leisure activities organised for the client group.
  • Accompanying the client group where appropriate, to locations outside of the venue / facilities.
  • Respecting the confidentiality of matters relating to the client group/staff

Profile:

 

The Care Assistant is part of the care team, whose function is to attend to the personal needs of the client group under the direction and supervision of senior staff.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing, where appropriate, personal assistance to the client group such as bathing, washing, toileting, dressing and feeding. Meeting these tasks may involve manual and/or aids-assisted lifting of the client group in accordance with current guidelines and good practice.
  • Reporting to a senior staff member untoward incidents, e.g., falls, accidents, complaints, etc.
  • Being available to listen and talk to the client group.
  • Participating in group and leisure activities organised for the client group.
  • Accompanying the client group, where appropriate, to locations outside of the venues/facilities.
